Supported Online Learning – Practitioner Training

What this training equips you to do

This practitioner training equips you to support participants who are completing Irene Education’s online programmes, rather than delivering the programmes yourself.

You’ll learn how to define a clear online programme pathway, hold safe boundaries and support participants to engage with the material in their own time.

The online programme teaches. Trained practitioners support the learning.

You’ll understand where your role starts and ends, and how supported online learning can fit into your service or organisation.

“This course opened my eyes to exactly what I had been living with and why it was so hard to leave.”

How supported online learning works

Supported online learning keeps the education online and the support relational.

    1. Purchase access
One individual coupon for each participant.
    2. Learn online
The participant uses their own private account.
    3. Receive support
A trained practitioner supports access and reflection.
    4. Own the learning
The participant reaches their own conclusions.
    Role boundary

“My life was chaotic and I was losing control on a regular basis which made me impossible to be around. This course has helped me to like myself again. It has taught me so much around the subject of abuse that I now feel confident talking to others about my experiences.”

My mission

Drawing from my own recovery and years of community work in Glasgow, I now offer specialised education to help people understand and address the impacts of abuse in their lives. My mission is to make trauma-informed and accredited learning accessible to all.
